These men and women laid the groundwork and formulated the standards and practices of the medical world. All major figures involved in nineteenth and early twentieth century discoveries, including medical and surgical practitioners, are represented, including such luminaries as the Curies, Pasteur, Freud, Koch, Metchinkoff, Erlich, and Osler.
