The War and Conflict Collection is composed of photographs of every major war, and many minor confrontations, especially the American Civil War, World War I, and World War II. The WWII Collection is the most extensive, documenting almost all of America’s operations in the Pacific and Europe, as well as never before seen albums of private photographs taken by German servicemen. Other rare albums include those from the Russo-Japanese War, Chinese-American incidents, the German Revolution, as well as personal albums from servicemen from a variety of conflicts. The Archive houses thousands of wartime photos including American and European colonial confrontations, the Spanish American War, Boer War, Philippine Insurrection, Boxer Rebellion, German Revolution, Mexican Revolution, Russian Revolution, images of minor revolts in Cuba, Syria, and Morocco, and much, much more.
